Song of the Week #58

This week’s SOTW was a bit of a conundrum in my mind. I have a lot of songs lined up to go with your Sinner’s Gin every weekend, and I’ve actually swapped out the original choice here for another in tribute. Myself and Alex this weekend are departing the sunny city limits of Wakefield to head to my old student haunt in Manchester for a stag do. Gin will be had - a LOT of gin will be had. We’ll be doing our very best to keep the punters hydrated of course.

So to accompany this stag do, I’ve decided to include a song recommended to me last week by the stag himself - an old friend. Currently going on his own exploratory stage into the boundaries of hardcore, it is nice to receive musical recommendations from friends, somewhat reminiscent of school times, even if I don’t actually listen to most of them these days. Sorry mate.

For the stag, a band called Moon Tooth - who I honestly know absolutely nothing about. The song is Alpha Howl, and it slaps. It reminds me of Down From The Sky by Trivium (more on them another time), so hopefully it’ll do nicely to accompany your gin-based cocktail this Friday night.
