Song of the Week #57

Dare I say, that we’re racking up quite a nice little playlist over on Spotify? Certainly its gaining a bit of character, and has quite the bit of variety. Something nice for a few hours to sip a gin and tonic to.

This week we’re going to add a bit of a classic to the mix. I suppose it follows in the footsteps of adding Golden Earring because of it accompanying the finale of Ozark. This week’s SOTW was used a few times instead in American Horror Story’s 1984 season - available on Disney +, for those of you still holding out hope of it arriving on Netflix. Without ruining too much, there is almost a comedic touch linking Billy Idol to almost everything throughout the season, either in soundtrack, or making him out as an almost god-like figure. Was he? Having not lived through the 1980s in Los Angeles I couldn’t honestly say.

This week, as a nice addition to our playlist is the song that blasts during the manerobics session led by Billie Lourd (Carrie Fisher’s daughter) before meeting the Night Stalker Richard Ramirez. Rebel Yell by Billy Idol
