Song of the Week #1
It all begins with an idea. Sinner’s Gin was first coined in the middle of a gym session around 3 years ago, where music was pumping from a bluetooth speaker in-between boxing rounds - unfortunately Adele on the gym radio just didn’t cut it for generating any motivation!
Alex & I believe that part of being able to feel passionate about the gin and all of our products is using our own personas to promote an identity for Sinner’s. Part and parcel of this is the music that we listen to - both in our own time and when we’re together packaging bottles of gin to send out to our lovely customers (you!). This can encompass everything from EDM to Hip-Hop, but primarily (and especially for myself), years of attending countless gigs and music festivals in my misspent teenage years have lead to a lifelong devotion to all types of rock music.
We’d love to let you guys into our world as much as possible and to listen along to what we’ve got on each week at Sinner’s HQ, whether it is a whole album, or simply individual songs. It’s unlikely to ever include any Tina Turner, but never say never!
We’ll start things off for the 1st ever song of the week, with an album that is as old as we are. Max Cavalera is a well-known metal icon for an entire generation, having been part of so many influential bands such as Soulfly, more recently Killer Be Killed and of course, Sepultura. However, for this week we’re going to focus on the only album released by one of his short-lived side bands called Nailbomb. The 1994 album called Point Blank, is 13 song’s worth of pissed off, and well worth an hour of your time if you’re in the mood for the kind of tunes that you’d kick your neighbours cat down the road to - Enjoy!
